简述下装Ubuntu 8.10的过程 version 1.1.09

以备以后查阅或者有同样问题的同学参考

保证废话很少..(传说中的短小精悍)


硬件:Thinkpad x200 学生机(除内存1G+2G外 其他标配)
安装过程:略
上网过程:学校用h3c拨号程序绑定静态IP 网上一搜一把的linux解决方案 略去(关键字:h3c ubuntu)

快速设置阶段:略

我碰到的问题:
1:PDF乱码


pdf乱码:
首先
sudo apt-get install xpdf-chinese-simplified
然后下载
http://poppler.freedesktop.org/poppler-data-0.1.tar.gz
解压之后
sudo make install datadir=/usr/share


2:rar支持
sudo apt-get install cabextract rar unrar


3:LINUX下的飞鸽

可以在桌面建个快捷方式:keyword: cugbipmsg-gtk


4:无宽屏分辨率(1280*800)
在Ubuntu8.10中,默认的xorg.conf的设置不能很好的工作,默认的设置为 1074x768,但x200标准显示为1280x800,在系统中也不能很好设置 系统 -> 首选项 -> 屏幕分辨率中设置不能很好的设置.


设置的方法我更新了很多次,然后这是最后一次,首先你要确认你的系统中有安装intel的驱动。


$ sudo apt-get install xserver-xorg-video-intel


然后使用gedit来设置xorg.conf.


$ sudo gedit /etc/X11/xorg.conf


然后加入下面的部分

然后保存关掉gedit.基本就行了。好象不是因为驱动的原因，是因为HDMI的原因.然后在重起你的xwindows就行了，有可能还要到系统 -> 首选项 -> 屏幕分辨率 中重新选择一下.


5:改系统字体(我装的英文版UBUNTU 中文字体实在太丑)

然后在字体设置里面把那对lcd屏幕优化勾上
之后Firefox3还是虚,搜了一把
sudo fontconfig-voodoo -f -s zh_CN
这样就能和系统一样字体效果
问题解决...




6:输入法
网上随便下了个ibus用用,也不是传说中那么好用...
期待google出linux下输入法...


7:TrackPoint中键无用问题
Ubuntu 8.10版本


在Ubuntu 8.10中，键盘、鼠标不再由X服务器而是HAL管理，/etc/X11/xorg.conf中原有的配置不再有效（实际上Ubuntu在升级时也会自动注释相关部分）。要在Ubuntu 8.10中启用Trackpoint中键的滚轮功能，需要进行如下操作[2]：（对于Ubuntu 8.10之前的版本请不要使用此方法，依照Debian配置方法即可）


首先，创建文件/etc/hal/fdi/policy/mouse-wheel.fdi，内容为：

完成更改后，重启hal和gdm服务：


sudo /etc/init.d/hal restart
sudo /etc/init.d/gdm restart


更新装好图一张...



还有,源用成都电子科技大学那个,很快... 搞定收工.....


基本上算第一篇日志,装之前也没打算写,现在想起来就把装的时候做的一些notes和bookmark添了点东西凑成日志... 将就着看吧... 主要是针对个人以后懒得再查用的 以后写东西前做好准备,争取写好一点
